BACK- Take Stock in Children is a non-profit organization committed to providing
GROUND scholarships, mentors, and hope to Florida's underprivileged youth. The
program
offers a comprehensive plan of success for low-income children-they must sign
a contract promising to stay in school, maintain good grades, and meet once a week
with a trained, dedicated mentor. In turn, Take Stock in Children provides each
student with a tuition scholarship to college or vocational school. A solution to
overcoming child poverty, academic failure, and youth crime, Take Stock in Children
is an award-winning, statewide program that currently serves more than 13,500
Florida students and graduates.
The Florida Lottery and Outback Steakhouse are sponsors of the Take Stock in
